“They are the bullies on the playground, and they’re starting to realize, what if we were to fight back, what if we were to slap back?” -Andrew Breitbart
You know what grinds my gears? Being called a racist for holding a different opinion; or being called anti-science and anti-women because I dare have the audacity to be against abortion, even though scientists postulate that unborn babies can feel pain at 20 weeks or that females are aborted at a higher rate than males. Also, who can forget when the Über tolerant Left called everyone who supports the 2nd amendment baby killers and heartless cowards?
Never mind the facts that were used to format your reply, you just hate the group that is at the center of the controversy and are an extremist. Never mind that groups may have put a bounty on someone’s head, tried to throw jars of urine and crap or used tampons (because nothing says ‘civil’ and ‘should be taken seriously’ like biological warfare), or decide to score political points off of someone’s unfortunate health circumstances. But you, yes you conservative/libertarian, are in fact that radical for daring to say “Hey maybe you shouldn’t declare a White Hispanic guilty before the trial” or “Maybe we need to reexamine the regulations on the baby-killing industry to make sure these medical clinics are, you know, clean and have trained personnel” and even “Statistics from the DOJ say that guns are used in self-defense 2.1 million times a year.” Sadly, these are all ‘radical’ positions that will cause Republicans to lose.
Again never mind that Mitt Romney was accused of killing a woman, being a tax cheat (on the floor of the US Senate no less), being out of touch and cruel to animals. Obviously Romney was a woman-hater because he had a “Binders full of women” (conveniently the Obama campaign left out the part that these binders possessed resumes for qualified women to work in his staff.) The Obama campaign also conveniently leaving out that women are paid 18 percent less then men in the Obama administration and was considered a hostile workplace for women.
Maybe, just maybe, it’s time the conservative/libertarian movement stopped arguing with each other and start to push back against the arbiters or racism, tolerance and science.
