Capitalism Vs. Democrat Policies

November 12, 2012
By Chris Graham
10percent

If I ever become the manager of the mom-and-pop used-book store I work at, I’m going to advertise that anybody with a Republican-registered voter card gets an additional 10% off their purchase.

“That’s not fair,” whines the liberal. “You can’t discriminate.”

Shut your mouth. I’ll run my business how I want to. If you don’t like it, go to the next bookstore and boycott me. Learn the free market, baby.

Now, why would I give Republicans a discount? Why would I make it cheaper for Republicans to enjoy this small, daytime excursion than for Democrats?

Well, what political party has made life so expensive? What political party has made family outings rarer and rarer as their incomes drop and commodities prices rise? Which political party loves taxing the everliving guts out of everything, and loves taking people’s hard-earned money for their own pet projects?

The Democrats. The Democrats vote to burden everybody with a more expensive life; the Republicans do not. Republicans vote to make life cheaper to live.

So screw you, Democrats, but I’m going to give Republicans an extra discount. You’ve made them suffer by taking away more of their money, so you’re going to suffer by paying more at my store.

Don’t like it? Then you have two choices:

  1. Get out of my store, or
  2. Stop electing people who make life more expensive, and I won’t make your shopping excursion more expensive.

“The Democrats. The Democrats vote to burden everybody with a more expensive life; the Republicans do not. Republicans vote to make life cheaper to live.”

GOP platform officially “Life is cheap.”

    • Chris Graham says:
      November 12, 2012 at 1:36 pm

Exactly. That’s how the free market works. You’re learning.

    • Chris Graham says:
      November 12, 2012 at 1:36 pm

And wait a minute, what makes it shitty? You have to pay more taxes? I thought Democrats considered it patriotic to pay higher taxes.

Walt: That is the idea. Go spend more of your hard-earned money/easily-voted entitlement funding elsewhere.

      “Life is cheap.”

No. Life would be infinitely less expensive without the intellectually inbred idiots of Big Government needlessly inflating the cost of feeding the poor by five times more than it should.

With the money being wasted by horrendously bloated Liberal programs that show absolutely no success, we could feed the less fortunate and have enough left over to give them all yachts on the fecking French Riviera.

17 TRILLION spent over the last forty years and the poverty rate has only dropped by 3% as of last year?

That is a glaring testament to the total failure of bureaucratic social programs. And all the class warfare bullshit you can manage to parrot won’t make it go away.

Life is cheaper without corrupt bureaucrats stealing citizens’ hard earned money and using it to reward their cronies.

    • D.W.Robinson says:
      November 12, 2012 at 1:43 pm

      Bloody hell, Chad.

As you’re probably guessing, that response wasn’t meant for you.

    • D.W. Robinson is Dumb as Hell says:
      November 12, 2012 at 2:37 pm

I don’t think you’re diagreeing with “Life is cheap” since the GOP platform seems to be to liquidate vast portions of the population, Soviet style, to decrease scarcity. Which in turn would make things cheaper. Of course you can’t say that out loud, so you turn “bureaucracy” into the reason why things are more expensive, which is just nonsense. The bureaucracy isn’t designed to fix scarcity because capitalism does not have a solution for things like natural scarcity.

Or, to put it in terms you can grasp, you’re terminally out of touch and should find something more enjoyable to do with your time.

    • D.W.Robinson says:
      November 12, 2012 at 8:08 pm

Your post fails to show any scrap of bureaucratic success, or refer to any part of documented history or real events that actually occurred.

Therefore, it does absolutely nothing to refute my points.

Thank you for wasting everyone’s time with fantasy bullshit.

Except all y’all will be the first to bitch when the free market eliminates you, as it’s in the process of doing according to the most recent election. You’re up against smarter, more powerful capitalists than you in the Democratic party now.

“Except all y’all will be the first to bitch..”

Now you’re just making shit up.

Healthcare taxation is causing a sharp rise in the cost of employing workers, as predicted.

The only people bitching at the ‘free market’ over adjustments to government mandated costs are the ones who are too fecking stupid to see it coming.

    • D.W. Robinson is Dumb as Hell says:
      November 12, 2012 at 2:29 pm

No, health care costs were rising long before the PPACA was a twinkle in some insurance provider’s eye. In fact, one of the ways PPACA was sold to the public was that it would curb rising healthcare costs. Have you been in fantasyland since 1993? Or were you just born yesterday?

    • D.W.Robinson says:
      November 12, 2012 at 3:03 pm

      It was sold that way.

Looks like it’s turning out quite differently than promised.

      What a shocker.

“Health care costs are rising. What can we do to make it worse?”

    • D.W. Robinson is Dumb as Hell says:
      November 12, 2012 at 4:38 pm

No shit PPACA is not stopping costs from rising, as I just got done saying, it’s not designed to. Because businesses have no incentives to not raise prices. The market is working as intended.

No matter which side you take on the issue, the free market is pricing poors out of healthcare. So what’re you complaining about? Ungrateful Republicans can’t ever be satisfied.

    • D.W.Robinson says:
      November 12, 2012 at 4:48 pm

      I’m not a Republican.

And thank you for admitting that this heath bill was not designed to fix problems, it was meant to be a form of forced extortion.

There have been many mind-crushingly imbecilic pieces published on MisfitPolitics but this one’s a Lulu.

    To summarise…

“I do not own a bookstore, but if I did and a liberal complained about my prices I would tell this non-existent person to shut up and I would throw him out the shop”.

Errrrr great, thanks for sharing. We are all richer for knowing that…

This is EXACTLY the sort of in-depth, razor-sharp political analysis that is going to make the Republicans electable again. (Not.)

Which ironically is exactly what Chris Graham did when he wrote this article, in fact it could easily double as Misfit’s raison d’etre.
