Tweets of the Week 7/14/2012

July 14, 2012
By Greg
Dead Twitter

Welcome to Tweets of the Week!  Sorry for not doing a post last week, but I kind of got swept up in doing stuff for Independence Day. When it came time to write a Tweets of the Week post I realized I didn’t actually have any tweets, which kind of turns out to be a problem when the entire post consists of embedded tweets.

OK, well enough excuses.  As always you can follow me on Twitter here.

Now on to the tweets!

You’ve heard of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, but Bob has an idea for an even better movie featuring one of America’s most underrated presidents.  Too bad it will never get made:

Movie idea: Calvin Coolidge, Debt Slayer

— Bob (@Libertarian_76) July 12, 2012

I think Sara Johnson just called Obama a racist:

.@JoeBiden how is it possible that Obama sees education of minorities as a priority when he shut down voucher programs in inner cities?

— Sara Johnson (@saracjohnsonGA) July 12, 2012

Texas or Busted has uncovered a line cut from Joe Biden’s speech to the NAACP:

#WhatJoeBidenWillSayToNAACP I was born a poor black child.

— Texas or Busted (@TexasorBusted) July 12, 2012

EXCLUSIVE: Tweets of the Week has obtained a clip of Vice President Biden practicing the above line:

Sadly, Defend Wall Street was making this up.  It’s a shame because I really wanted to see it happen:

If you say “racism” five times fast in a dark bathroom looking into the mirror Martin Luther King Jr. appears and fights Al Sharpton.

— Defend Wall Street (@DefendWallSt) July 11, 2012

Andrew Staroska uses the Obamacare repeal vote in the house to take a swipe at Obama.  Low blow man, low blow (also probably racist) :

5 Dems Voted for #FullRepeal. That’s 5 votes more than Obama’s Budget received. #caring

— Andrew Staroska (@OHCONSERVATISM) July 11, 2012

Either Amy is right or the Democrats are so incompetent/stupid that they may as well try to destroy America.  Honestly, I’m starting to lean towards the former:

I’m starting to think that Democrats are trying to kill America.

— Amy Mousepants (@politicsofamy) July 11, 2012

Orwell Force may have gotten to the bottom of Obama’s desperate campaign emails:

Hi @BarackObama maybe the root cause of your “Wah! Nobody will give me money” emails is that Americans don’t like whiny losers. Ironic, huh?

— Orwell Force (@OrwellForce) July 10, 2012

Harold Stickeehands gives us the best way to counter libs whining for the return of the Clinton tax rates. It makes their heads explode:

Lib: “We had higher taxes in the 90′s & things were awesome! Let’s raise taxes!” Con: “Can we lower spending to 90′s levels?” Lib: “Racist!”

— Harold Stickeehands (@StickeeNotes) July 9, 2012

Anthony Bialy has uncovered secret White House documents detailing Obama’s plans for the rest of the term:

President Obama will take off the rest of his term; a Post-it reading “Tax those rich bastards” will serve in his place.

— Anthony Bialy (@AnthonyBialy) July 9, 2012

Tom McCammon makes an observation that, honestly, I have no comment about.  Yes, it’s that true and the idea of it is so disgusting that I am rendered somewhat speechless:

Obama to voters: They bring a knife, you bring a gun. Obama to Border Patrol: They bring a gun, you bring a bean bag.

— Tom McCammon (@TomMcCammon) July 9, 2012

David Freddoso absolutely derails one of Obama’s biggest contrasts between himself and Romney:

We should not go back to the failed economic policies of the past when we can just stick with the failed economic policies of the present.

— David Freddoso (@freddoso) July 9, 2012

Wait, you mean raising taxes on job creators won’t help people?  RB, you are a racist:

Like the Buffett Rule, Obama’s latest class warfare gambit won’t actually do a thing to improve the lives of anyone. #tcot #p2

— RB (@RBPundit) July 9, 2012

This week’s “Totally Not Biased At All” award goes to the Washington Post for this totally not biased whatsoever tweet:

As Obama calls for middle-class tax cut extension, Romney raises campaign cash in wealthy enclaves wapo.st/NV3Ss9

— PostPolitics (@postpolitics) July 9, 2012

And now for your weekly dose of leftist stupidity (though the above tweet certainly qualifies), I give you the least self-aware tweet ever:

“Everything bad that’s ever happened under [Romney] . . . he blames on other people, and that just isn’t very Presidential.” j.mp/LcAXjd

— The Democrats (@TheDemocrats) July 12, 2012

OK then . . .

Here’s a bunch of Democrats blaming Bush for high gas prices:

And here’s Obama blaming Solyndra on Bush:

Oh and here’s Obama blaming Bush for his massive spending:

I could go on, but I really don’t feel like wasting everyone’s time.  So @TheDemocrats, tell me all about how blaming everyone else for your screw-ups isn’t very presidential.  Please, keep tweeting out crap like this, it makes my (and the rest of the conservative bloggosphere’s) job so much easier.

Anyway, see you all next week!
