Go To Hell, Media Matters

May 1, 2012

Dear Media Matters:

I am so sick and tired of your blatant lies about Operation Fast & Furious. So incredibly sick of it. If you gave a damn about humanity, you would be all over this story like a fat kid on a cupcake. If you were truly a media watchdog group you’d be all over the media for not covering it.

But you’re not. You keep touting the same lies and spin the Department of Justice vomits and you should be ashamed of yourself.

I am specifically looking at you, Matt Gertz. You’re supposed to be the Deputy Research Director at MMfA yet you keep saying over and over and over that Fast & Furious had NOTHING to do with gun control. How many times have I pointed out CBS’s Sharyl Attkisson’s December 7th article? I pointed it out to you on Big Journalism and Twitter. Have you read it?

What level is your reading comprehension, Matt? The title says it all. The documents, which are included in the article, show major players trying to use the operation to make the case for stronger gun control.

I hate to bring Ms. Attkisson into this, but I know she is as passionate about Fast & Furious as I am. I know MMfA writers don’t care for Breitbart writers (can’t blame them, since we blow them out of the water all the time) but haven’t they gone after Ms. Attkisson about this article? I didn’t write about it first. I didn’t say anything about it first. She did. So is she wrong, MMfA? Is she?!

I would love to debate Media Matters, especially Gertz, on this topic. I know I will win because I have the FACTS on my side. I sort of feel sorry for you, MMfA, because it does suck when the facts aren’t on your side and don’t fit your agenda. It really does, but SUCK IT UP. It disgusts me to no end that you don’t care at all that this operation caused the murder of Agent Terry and 300+ Mexicans.

You are no better than the people who implemented this stupid operation. Your agenda trumps public safety. That is disgusting and repulsive. Who care if people will die, even our own? Just as long as the agenda is met, that’s all that matters, right? Did you know Agent Dodson’s superior told him “you must break a few eggs to make an omelet”? Do you agree with that, especially when it comes to someone’s life? Is stricter gun control more important than public safety?

It’s on, Gertz and Media Matters. I’m not going to stop confronting this until you address that article by Ms. Attkisson. You try to dispute everything else, but you never talk about this one. Take it on. Dispute it.

I dare you.

At this point Media Matters needs to be sued for it’s 501C 3 status. That will get their attention and bogged them down which hopefully will lead to their destruction.

My vote is to have the Koch brothers sue them. Mainly because they’d win, they can afford to play those kinds of shenanigans, and it would cause spontaneous headsplosions all across the LeftStreamMedia.

      Oh MAN, I would lol.

    YEAHHHH! What she said!
    No, seriously.

Did you catch the story yesterday about the documents the DOJ handed over were half blank pages…?

LLove this article because anytime someone takes it right to MMFA but especially on this because this scandal is so damn awful and just like in the Clinton days it’s getting buried.

As a fat kid I am offended by your insinuation that I am drawn to cupcakes. OMG CUPCAKE I MUST EAT IT NOW!!!

OK now that that’s taken care of, you have to realize that MMFA took money to promote gun control (while their crazy leader David Brock had an assistant illegally carry a gun to protect him from ninja assassins none the less). Now why exactly would you give money to an organization that says its goal is to fact check and correct “conservative misinformation” with the explicit goal of promoting gun control? Oh that’s right, because Media Matters is completely partisan and promotes progressivism under the guise of fact checking.

Hell, they don’t even fact check a lot of stuff anymore, it’s just Think Progress type crap that they spew on their blog now. No media fact checking, just opinion.

TL;DR version? MMFA are idiotic hacks

“So is she wrong, MMfA? Is she?!”

    Yep, she sure is.

There is no evidence anywhere for her (and your) crackpot theories. I’ve read the article and read the memos and emails, there is not one scintilla of evidence that this was a gun-control set-up. There is no evidence that Holder knew anything about Fast & Furious supplying guns to Mx.

    “Who really killed Breitbart ?”

    O.K. you got me.

But hey, the guy got on my nerves.

    You silly violet bovine.

She’s not wrong on either of her points. Either you’re being disingenuous or didn’t really read the memos and emails. The first and third links are addressed directly to the Attorney General and the third one specifically mentions Fast and Furious . The second memo discusses involving the Assistant Attorney General. To somehow think Holder had no knowledge of the operation is ridiculous.

Most states do not require the owner to register the purchase of a firearm after it’s made. The federal government is not notified either. Any attempt to institute a federal regulation on registering a firearm would be a form of control. The “Demand Letter 3″ mentioned in the CBS article from emails is exactly that.

Media Matters, a watchdog group? LMAO

This is just the sort of thing that group was set up for!

They put pressure on other media outlets to ignore stories they don’t like or they try to put ‘lipstick on a pig’ and put a leftist spin on the story.
    It is what they do.

But they cannot ignore this story anymore as it is not going away.
There is no way they can dress it up. The gov’t selling guns and grenades to drug dealers who then shoot up thousands of people is kinda hard put in a positive light.

What will they do? Bring on the ‘..it must be a Right Wing conspiracy’ to attack the poor Obama administration.

Tim, Tim, Tim, you are so dim.

I’ve read the Emails, either you have not, or you need to work on your english comprehension skills.

The emails mention the name of the operation. They do NOT say “Oh by the way, we are supplying drugs to Mexican drug cartels.”

Seriously? I can’t believe you’re that obtuse. By the way, it was (thousands of) firearms. Not drugs.

For the attorney general to read a memorandum addressed directly to him that mentions a specific operation and not have any interest in understanding what the operation does is ridiculous.

    Oh grow up, Tim.

How many operations from how many organizations do you think the A.G. gets to hear about in any given year? You honestly think he can know every detail of every operation and still have time to deal with everything else he has to do?

Were the Attorney General of the United States to use your rationale for failing to understand Operation Fast and Furious, an operation used to place firearms purchased in the United States into the possession of criminal gangs operating primarily in Mexico, it would be appropriate to claim that the Attorney General was not adequate to fulfill his position.

An operation of this magnitude, had it been done correctly, would have been done with the consent of appropriate officials of the Mexican Government. Those consents were never acquired. An operation of this type, had it been done correctly, would have had the component of actually tracking the firearms as they moved from the United States into Mexico. This was not done.

I do not believe failure to inform the Mexican Government or failure to track the firearms came about as a result of any inadequacies of the Attorney General. I believe those failures were deliberate and an integral part of the operation. I will reserve comments on any motive for these actions.

So is what you are saying that it is okay for a program in his department to knowingly break the law and he not know about it? Have you ever heard of the statement, “you can delegate a task, but not the responsibility?” This is akin to saying that a doctor may have hundreds of patients, but he isn’t responsible to know about them because he sees so many patients. So if a few die, it is no big deal because he doesn’t have to know about everything that goes on with a patient.

You have officially made my dumbest comments of the year award.

Tim, that’s not actually a haiku.

    A Haiku contains 17 ‘on’.

An ‘on’ is not the same as a syllable

The word ‘Nippon’ for instance, contains four ‘on’ but only two syllables.

    Do try to keep up…

Wrong again, you mauve, multi-stomached, mammal. I’m not Japanese. I subscribe to the Haiku Society of America’s definition of haiku: 17 or fewer syllables with the middle line the longest.

BTW, you’ve been behind so long that you just think others need to keep up. You’re about to be lapped.
