Today we lost not just a leader but THE leader of the conservative movement. Andrew Breitbart passed away at the age of 43 last night of natural causes. Though we have leaders elected to office, Andrew was the man who stood out in front of the crowd, bucked the establishment, and lead the right wing into a new age of “on the offensive Conservatism” that the left has still to recover from today.
There was not a day that went by that he wasn’t fighting the enemies of freedom, those that would attack his friends, or those that would do wrong towards this country. He was a 24/7 warrior that few could contend with, and his fighting prowess is seen in the enemies that railed against him to little or no avail.
His irreverence toward the “old ways” changed the face of Conservatism forever, and we would do well to follow the example this great man has left behind. We at Misfit Politics considered this man our General on the battlefield. His example is what has lead not only us but many others into doing what we do today. We can never give up the fight just as Breitbart never ever did, to the point of literally taking it with him to his grave as any good leader in battle would.
He wouldn’t want us to stop, and I’m positive that none of us plan to. We have to pick ourselves up, keep fighting, and never give in just as he taught us. In that we can honor the fallen and continue his legacy in fervor.
His body may have died, but Breitbart’s spirit is more alive than ever.
“……..war”

He inspired so many and so thankful that Jesus allowed us to have him around for the time we did! May we always remember him and continue the fight he started!
Brandon, you just made me cry.
The delight and joy the left is getting out of his death is disgusting. Not that I expected any different but man it makes me mad. However, I think Andrew would be proud of the hatred. Meant he did something right. And, boy, did he.
in death may he become more powerful, as we all use his words and his example to stand up to tyranny, ignorance, and division. rise to the occasion friends. fight on!
Hours after hearing about this tragic loss I still feel like I was punched in the groin. Andrew Breitbart was everything you wanted in a hero – bold, and willing to stand up to those who would try to force him to back down.
Note the glee with which many on the left have welcomed Mr. Breitbart’s too soon departure (not, notably, including MMFA, who posted a magnanimous condolence on their blog, much to my most welcome surprise). Let it be said, that even in death, Andrew Breitbart was exposing extremist left-wingers for exactly what they are: hate-filled demagogues.
It is said in the legal business that if you have the facts, argue the facts. If you have the law, argue the law. If you have neither, pound the table. Nine times out of ten, it was Andrew arguing facts and law, and nine times out of ten, it was his opponents pounding the table.
Against all semblance of civility, Andrew’s intolerant haters would bash him as some kind of closet homosexual. In their warped worldview, this was a slur against a loving, caring husband and father of four, while they purported to stand on the side of gays (as long as they were properly liberal).
Andrew instead ignored the hate and proudly stood up for GOProud when they were attacked and rightly turned them away when they “outed” a member of Rick Perry’s staff. It was all part of Andrew being on the side of justice, no matter what the situation.
Was he perfect? No one is, especially not the detractors that demanded that he never make an error.
One never knows when the Lord will call us home. As hard as it is for us to believe, perhaps Andrew accomplished all that God meant for him to accomplish in just 43 short years. It is perhaps selfish of us to ask for more in this case.
Rest in peace. You fought the good fight, Mr. Breitbart.
The right lost a fighter and a leader. We need to work twice as hard to finish what Breitbart fought for and take down the ideological left.
RIP Andrew, you were the best role model a young conservative blogger could possibly have
This is exactly what Brietbart said about Ted Kennedy’s death –
1. Rest in Chappaquiddick
2. Kennedy is my villain. He took me from left to right during the Thomas hearings. Really. Then read Joe McGuiness book & I wanted to puke.
3. he was a f@#$er. a big ass motherf@#$er. this aint a 24-hour zone, baby. he was a bad, bad dude. & if mary jo were your kin youd be dancin’.
4. This duplicitous bastard spit on GWB’s face when he reached across party lines. Twas a grade school trick. Even til the end, he was a prick.
5. I’ll shut my mouth for Carter. That’s just politics. Kennedy was a special pile of human excrement.
and finally – “I’m sorry, everyone. My Twitter account was hacked. By me. I apologize for nothing.”
But now the left is supposed to respond with respect? I thought you all were the party of taking responsibility for your actions, you reap what you sow, all that jazz. Please explain to me how Andrew deserves respect after the poison he heaped on Kennedy at his death. Come on folks explain how it’s different. I’m waiting.
My condolences to his family, it’s never good for a child to lose a parent no matter who or what they were in public life.
Chris,
Out of curiosity, how many innocent young women did Andrew Breitbart allow to die?
I’m not condoning his reaction to Ted Kennedy’s death (I did not share it), but there’s a pretty clear line here. “I’ll shut my mouth for Carter.” The difference? He didn’t kill anyone.
At any rate, the “two wrongs make a right” argument doesn’t hold an awful lot of water with… anyone.
Difference is, Ted Kennedy was a murdering sociopath with a knack for screwing this country to pieces for his own gain. Andrew Breitbart was a good hearted family man who didn’t take shit from you leftists. Its the fact that he called your side out constantly that you think he’s scum. I imagine cockroaches hate the light when it’s shone on them as well.
Your response here only outlines what you leftists consider to be a good guy vs a bad guy. Breitbart’s words about Kennedy weren’t lies. What he said was true. Ted Kennedy was just a bad man. Andrew Breitbart is far from.
So I don’t expect the left to respond with respect, in fact I encourage you all to continue to say exactly how you feel about him, because every time you do you only prove him more and more right.
He won and your collective nuts are his trophy.
Thank you for proving Breitbart right
Brandon, thank you for this. This really was a sock in the gut. I don’t think I need tell you that in certain corners of the net, the Left has unleashed their respective bile one last time. I am NOT going to link to the Democratic Underground boards but needless to say it wasn’t good. Andrew would want us to fight on and I can tell you, when I am fully recovered from my grief, I’m going to follow his example.
I’m shattered. I’ve lost a hero.
Who can take his place? Who can stand before a crowd, regardless of their politics, and take command of the message the way he did?
We’ll all have to step up and bring our best game. It will take an entire multitude of heavy hitters to make up for this monumental loss.
Stay on target. Dismantle and destroy the leftist establishment. Expose the decay, dishonesty and double standards that threaten to rob a free society of their liberty.
RIP Andrew. I wish i could have met you, sir.

I am the board-op at KCBQ and Andrew was always a great guest on the Rick Amato show I loved him on Red Eye too. He really change my view on what one single person can do to change the world around them.
